I’ve been doing so much lately that I haven’t even posted about yesterday’s run. It was one of my slowest runs of the past few months. But I was okay with that.
Before I get to that, please enjoy some pics I took during the first snow of the season (on Long Island, anyway). I normally post nice pics on instagram but I’ll post some on here too every now and then. I can do what I want!

The results are officially in from the Ted Corbitt 15K I ran only three days ago. (How does it seem like two weeks ago? Why does time do that?)
While my Garmin has my race pace as 8:35 min/mile, the official results say 8:45 min/mile. So that’s what I’ll go with. FINE.

This morning’s Ted Corbitt 15K in Central Park could not have gone any better. With the exception of a couple very minor hiccups in my METICULOUSLY PLANNED PLANS, everything went well.
Heads up: this will be a long post and I took a LOT of pictures. Settle in. Grab a snack. Hell, grab dinner. We’re gonna be here a while.

Hello! This is just a midday post to share my excitement of having picked up my bib for this weekend’s Ted Corbitt 15K in Central Park! Something like this – basically an errand – is normally not worthy of an entire post, but I got a couple pictures out of it and I wanted to write about it and it’s my blog and I can do what I want!

After two days of strength training and sore hips (as I think I pushed it on Sunday given my lack of recent long runs), it was time to get back out there this morning.

A few weeks ago I bought a 3-pack of yoga classes at the local studio, and last week I realized I still needed to use two of them. So I took two yoga classes this weekend – a “Vinyasa Level 2” on Saturday and an “All Levels Yoga” on Sunday – and I’m glad I did. Not only did I get a good upper body workout in both (I can tell because my upper arms and shoulders are a good kind of sore this morning), but yesterday’s afternoon class was a great way to stretch after my morning long run, which was my longest yet: 11 miles. Eleven! ELEVEN!

Six miles this morning. Six point one, if we’re being nitpicky (and I always am!). It was warmer than yesterday so I went sans hat, which I was very happy about once I started getting into it. I think my hat should be reserved for freezing-and-under temps. Mid 40s? Please. That’s practically spring.
