I did a basement-gym workout this morning – a quick and easy Fitness Blender upper body routine called Strong, Lean, Toned Arms, Chest and Shoulders Workout – Lift Like you Mean It! It must be hell to come up with titles of workouts. Kind of like how it is with post titles for this blog.
I don’t have much to write about today because I didn’t run and got such a late start on this post. I did manage to take a real selfie with a real camera, edited with real software. Sometimes knowing Photoshop is a nice skill to have.
(Note: I did not Photoshop myself, just the wall so it could be a square and not have any other stuff on it. It’s messy. I know. I don’t care.)
This is what I look like. This is my body. I am not perfect. I am not a size 0. I am not a model. I am 43 years old. I am healthy and strong and working on getting healthier and stronger. I never want to feel like I’ve “done it.” I want to constantly improve in all aspects of my life. I never want to rest on my laurels. I don’t even know where my laurels are.
I like my body. It’s nice to be able to say that. I LIKE MY BODY! I feel like I have to.
That way, if everything else around me is falling apart, I still have this one thing.
